Spot Delivery Car Dealer ScamSounds like you may have been a victim of a "Spot Delivery."

Car dealers will sell you a car and assume that you will be able to qualify for a loan. They will have you sign all the paperwork, take delivery of the car and you will believe you just bought a car. The dealer knows if they don't take a chance and put you in a car, the next dealer you visit will. They can now use this additional time to try and get your car loan "bought" by a lender.

If the dealer cannot secure financing for you, they have no choice but to call you and have you bring the vehicle back to them. You most likely signed a different form amongst all your other paperwork that states you will bring the car back if financing cannot be arranged.

To make matters even worse, the deal is not final until you and the dealer sign the contract, of course you sign the contract first then the dealer signs it later after it has been approved. Most car dealerships will not give you the copies of the paperwork you signed if you're not officially approved for a car loan.

The state of Nevada does not have a grace period or return policy for vehicle sales. You would have to check with the dealership to see if they have one. It is important to not sign anything until you read the contract and completely understand it.Ê

In Illinois can you return a used vehicle after 1 week purchased to get something cheaper?

If you signed a contract and purchased the vehicle, it belongs to you and there's nothing you can do to get out of the contract. If the car dealership wants to work with you, that's up to them but you're legally bound. No. You have signed the papers so you couldn't even return in 5 minutes after you drive off the lot.

You actually do not have a set period of time to return a vehicle purchase. There is no law that requires a dealership to take a vehicle back once purchased unless the vehicle is faulty.

By law can a vehicle be returned within 3 days of purchase?

The best thing to do is call the car lot and ask them. Usually a car lot will give you 30 days to return the vehicle. It really depends on the dealership. That depends on the laws of your state and the contract that you signed. Look for verbage regarding recission of the contract.

Can you return a new auto purchase under 30 days in illionis?

That would depend on the dealership at which youl made your purchase. The standard right of recision (right to change your mind) is three business days after a contract is signed. Of course, you could return your auto to the dealership, but they would consider it a used vehicle and, again, it would be their option to buy it from you or not.
