I had a 90 Buick Century that spent 9 days in the shop while they looked for a cause as to why it would hesitate when you pressed on the accelator, Hot, Cold, Summer, Winter. After changing everything concerned except the fuel pump they gave up and turned it over to Buick Motor Co. Buick simple told them to run another fuel pump test after disconnecting the alternator charging wire from the battery. They found that the fuel pump would not operate properly with only the 12 volt battery suppling the voltage. The problem of hesitating was caused because as the engine first loaded up the alternator had not started charging fully. After it gained speed the alaternator supplied it's higher voltage, 13+ volts and the fuel pump operated propely. You simply need to have a mechanic perform a fuel pump test on your vehicle but be sure he disconnects the alternator charging wire first.
