Technically speaking yes, You can upgrade RAM, CPU and Hard drive and video cards on some. But unless you know how to work on laptops and comfortable working on then, by the time you buy the hardware and take it someone to get it upgraded, you probably could just have bought a new one :-)
This laptop includes a 2GB ram, and can be upgraded up to a maximum of 8GB.

It depends on the computer model, it would require you to disassemble the laptop swap video cards then reassemble the laptop and this would be likely damage the computer. I too have looked into this.
There are plenty of things you can do to a laptop to boost its performance. Some things include: -Upgrading the RAM -Getting a larger hard drive -Buying a better battery
yes, but get profesionals to do it,
Only some parts are upgradable. The memory usually will be, and the processor can be upgraded but will take an experienced technician.
Depends how you take care of it: how its handled, upgraded to its maximum capacity, battery replacements when needed. I have a Dell 13" that is 5 years old and still works fine, especially after I upgraded the RAM from 1GB to 2GB.
If your laptop has the MXM type video card it can be upgraded but not without stripping the laptop down. The MXM type card fits into a slot on the motherboard (My Toshiba Sat Pro A200 has the ATI HD2400) I upgraded this to the ATI HD 3450 which was bought from ebay. If your laptop has builtin graphics such as Intels X3100 you can't upgrade it at all.
Most laptops cannot have their video card upgraded. You would have to buy a new laptop in order to play this game. When you get that error message it means your laptop is not good enough.
Laptops in general typically can not be upgraded much due to their compact size. A common and easy upgrade for a laptop would be to increase the memory installed. Also, the processor of almost any laptop can usually be upgraded, but usually costs a lot in labor as much of the laptop will need to be taken apart to get to it. If your laptop used to "feel fast" when it was new, but has slowed down over the years, a computer technician should be able to speed it up again by either tuning it up (malware, defrag, program removal, etc..) or by completely reinstalling your operating system.
These are two of the special consideration: A) The mobility of a Laptop & B) Desktop are able of being upgraded over time. 6th Edition, Pages 1062 - 1063
your laptop may not have powerful enough Graphics card or not enough RAM, labtops cannot be upgraded though so you will need to turn down the Graphics on your game or get a new one
