Cast blocks usually can't be welded. Even if you get someone to do it no one is gonna warranty the work. There is just too much vibration and it will usually just crack the welds apart after a while. Good luck.
Depends on where it is cracked. If it is a small crack, J.B. Weld, found at any hardware store, can be used as a quick and temparary fix. Otherwise it would be better to get a new block altogether.
how u know the block is really cracked
A cracked "engine housing" probably means a cracked block. Very not good. A new engine will most likely be required to fix the problem, as a cracked block is next to impossible to repair.
You can drive a car with a cracked engine block, but it will eventually stop running. The engine will go out completely after time.
it is not a cracked engine block it is just a loose block
Junk in most cases.
No
If your referring to the engine block, the motor has to be replaced. If your refering to a cracked head, the head has to be replaced. Contact a service technician you can trust. a cracked block cannot be repaired. The only option is to replace the engine.
A cracked block is a fracture [crack in your engine] you need a new block!Try to find a used motor in a junk yard. Good luck toro2.
You replace the engine.
Nothing good, I can tell you that. Anything from a warped head, cracked head, warped block, cracked block, and basicly, a blown engine.
You can try J-Weld, we repaired a 16" cracked 327 block with it, but all surfaces MUST BE cleaned and follow the directions with the epoxy! Good luck.
