Yes, cats do blink their eyes. Unlike humans, though, newly born kittens have their eyes closed shut and they can't open them until after 2 or 3 weeks after they were born.

supplementary Cats (and birds and amphibians) also have a nictating membrane which temporarily covers and protects the eye.

Cats do have eye lids they have infact three, one is in the inner eye lid which is called a palpebra tertia.

Yes, there is a breed of cat known for it's piercing blue eyes

Some do, it does not even have to be a specific breed.

It would be extremely rare for a cat to have black eyes. Most cats have brown eyes. Some breeds however can have green, yellow, blue or pink eyes.
