HELP! im so confused my cat i just go a day ago form a well known shelter, just randomly had this black worm on it...i have grown up with many animals and i know what fleas look like, plus i live in high altitude where fleas dont survive and only one kind of species of ticks live here; i know what they look like...what could this worm be??
Well,
according to the Doctor specific pets cannot get pinworms. Dogs and cats basically. Take a look of what I found.
Pets like cats and dogs are not part of the threadworm's life cycle. Threadworms only live in human hosts. Pets can play a part in spreading the eggs of threadworms if an infected person pats them or the eggs become attached to their fur or hair. Do not forget to wash you pet after you have begun a worm treatment in order to reduce the chance of reinfection.
No, cats cannot get pinworms. If it looks like a pinworm it's probably a feline tapeworm.
Pin worms are round worms: Phylum NematodaTheir entire taxonomic classification would be:Kingdom:AnimaliaPhylum:NematodaClass:SecernenteaSubclass:SpiruriaOrder:OxyuridaFamily:OxyuridaeGenus:EnterobiusHope this helps!
Pin worms cannot harm you in anyway they only cause itching
Flatworms such as tape worms and flukes, and roundworms such as trichinosis-causing worms, filarial worms, ascarid worms and hook worms.
Worms eat cats that are decomposed and they take small bites of it.
White worms in cats and dogs are probably tapeworm, which is spread by fleas.
nope look up "pin worms"on google
cats do not get worms if they are properly fed and healthy, if they do contract some sort of disease that causes worms they need to be taken to a vet immediately.
