You cannot "get your name back on the property" unless the investor conveys the property back to you by deed. If you did not notify your bank of the transfer you should contact an attorney to determine your exposure and negotiate for you with the lender.

What happen to the stamp machines... Which sold single stamps, don't have time to stand in line and wait...?

If your goal is to simply eliminate the debt, you can sell the property for the balance of the mortgage - and hopefully more. Contact the mortgage company and arrange a deferment on the payments while you attempt to sell it or arrange for them to take the home at the value of the mortgage or (hopefully) a bit more.

What mortgage insurance can you cancel after paying it for 2 years?

Do u really need mortgage insurance? Do u have any other life insurance policy? If yes, then that policy is sufficien. Just check that its amount is enough to cover your CURRENT mortgage amount. feel fre to contact back. Answer Mortgage insurance is usually required by the lender if the loan is in excess of 80% of the loan value of the property. A mortgage insurer is usually an investor or a group of investors. In most states there is no requirement for mortgage insurance when the loan is 80% or below the value of the property. A simple letter to the lender will usually get the mortgage insurance cancelled. If your home is in an area where values are increasing rapidly, then it is quite possible that you will have enough equity to drop the MI after only 2 years. Contact your lender

How do you add a wife to a reverse mortgage?

The only persons on a mortgage are the owners of the property. If your wife owns the property the lender would have required that she sign it. If she doesn't own the property then she isn't a party to the mortgage. You can't "add" her to the reverse mortgage transaction if she doesn't own the property. The purpose of a reverse mortgage is to grant the title to the premises to the bank upon the death of the owner. Therefore only the owner signs. If you are thinking of including a new wife (or wife who was not an owner of the property) under the benefits of a reverse mortgage you already executed, it is too late. You should contact the bank for more information. The only persons on a mortgage are the owners of the property. If your wife owns the property the lender would have required that she sign it. When a former spouse dies does the ex spouse whose name is on the mortgage become the sole owner of the property?

No, a person whose name is on the DEED may become the sole owner. The person whose name is on the MORTGAGE may have the priviledge of making the payments! Better contact the lawyer who handled your divorce for some advice.

Are you responsible for your mother's mortgage on her house that was left to you by survivorship rights?

If you inherited the property, the estate must be probated and your mother's estate is responsible for the mortgage debt. However, if there is no cash to pay the mortgage and you want to keep the property, the mortgage must be paid or the bank will take possession of the property by foreclosure. If you decide to keep the property you need to contact the bank to arrange for an assumption of the mortgage or just keep paying the mortgage until the debt has been paid in full. If you owned the property as joint tenants with the right of survivorship and only your mother granted a mortgage in the property then you should consult an attorney who is familiar with your state laws regarding real property and mortgage by one co-owner.

If your lender sells your loan to another lender are they suppose to notify you that your mortgage was sold?

Yes, do not send anything to anyone who claims to have purchased the mortgage. Continue to send payments to the original mortgage company until THEY inform you otherwise. There is a scam out there where people get the mortgage information from county records then send an official looking letter. It's good for one or two mortgage payments to a mail drop and you end up being out a couple payments. Don't fall for that one. If you have any questions, contact your original mortgage company and verify the mortgage status
