My 3 kids had apple juice diluted half and half Nursery water at 3months old but of course my youngest is 19 yrs. old.

Yes you can, especially if it is diluted well. ?But it is not advisable. ?A baby's digestive system is designed to have nothing other than mothers milk for 6 or 7 months of life, and its not a good idea to mess with Mother Nature. ?

Think what Cave Mother would have done. ?This is important, because what she did is the reason we are here. ?At 6 or 7 months, several things happen to a baby. ?His natural iron stores in his liver from prebirth are starting to run low. ?He is teething and he wants to chew, and he is crawling. ?So he would crawl over, get something chewable, sit down and put it in his mouth. ?And that is how new foods were introduced. ?Cave Mother had no jars of baby food, no bottles, strollers, sterilisers, feeding spoons and the like. ?She used what she had, and the human race survived.

I feel quite strongly about this as I did community nursing in rural Africa and saw far too many infant deaths due to messing around with unnatural feeding. ?But life in the Western world is very different, and people have their reasons for the choices they make. ?As the other lady said, her kids had diluted apple juice, and as the 'baby' is now 19, he evidently did very well on it. ?I just wanted to add what I did as an alternative point of view. ?You won't be a bad mother if you don't agree with my view. ?Just asking the question shows that you are a concerned, careful and thoughtful mother who wants good things for her child.

An infant should not have anything except breast milk or formula. If it is warm and the baby appears thirsty they can be given water. Apple juice is so high in sugar or fructose it may cause diarrhea.

Until a baby can sit up in a high chair they should not be given anything else. Their pediatrician will recommend starting them on solids, between 5 and 7 months which is usually started by rice cereal.

Yes they can but it is not good for them as it has alot of sugar. If i was you i would go for milk and puree apples
