Many homes these days are using some plastic piping, cpvc or equivelent. I, myself, prefer copper tubing. as for the radiator I can't help you on that. FIRST CHECK YOU LOCAL AND STATE CODES

yes it is bad because there are chemicals in the plastic that might move into our plate of food and that is not good for our health so heating leftover food in plastic is bad.

check carefully for thin cracks on the radiator tanks(side plastic covers on radiator)you probably have to remove the radiator to get a better look. Also replace theradiator hoses if their old. If the leak continues then it's most likely your heatercore.
It is very possible that the plastic urn will leach BPA's. There is currently huge concerns in the USA over plastic feeding bottles leaching BPA's when heated, it is claimed that the leaching rises 55 times it normal levels when heated.
If the radiator tanks are plastic you will have to replace the radiator.
If you mean the plastic overflow tank, replace it. If you mean the plastic tanks on either side of the radiator core, replace the radiator.
