Most motorcycles have no provision for adjusting the engagement point for front brakes. However some newer bikes do have an adjustment...an obvious adjustment "wheel" will be found near to the lever. If indeed the lever engages too close to the bars it can be the rubber flexible line leading to the front wheel....as in the "rubber line" is expanding as one applies force to the lever. The rubber can be deteriorated, needing replacing, or can be replaced with a braided steel line lending toward a firmer feel.

How do you tighten the parking brake in a Toyota RAV4 2002?

You have to adjust the rear brakes, after you adjust the rear brakes the slack will almost be gone and you'll find the brake lever will grab almost at once. The cable going to the brake lever can be adjusted with a 10mm socket, but adjust your rear brakes first, the remaining slack then will be taken out by tightening the cable. This adjustment is located under the rubber cover, covering the bottom of the brake lever.

Why don't brake lights brighten on 2008 gold wing when brake lever on handlebar is engaged?

Motorcycle Front Brakes versus Brake LightsI'm not familiar with your bike as I'm into "old" [1950 and prior years] Indian and Harley machines. On those older machines, only the REAR brake pedal was fitted with a brake light switch, and the FRONT brake [on the handlebar] did not have a brake light switch.I suspect that is why you have no brake light operation IF using ONLY the front brake. If you're handy with tools, and with a little imagination, you should be able to successfully install a brake light switch into the front brake system.
