Unless you are seeking employment with a government agency I do not believe that persons in this occupation are necessarily state-licensed. Other than that it would be up to the discretion of your prospective employer as to whether they wished to hire you or not.

You can certainly go to school and become qualified to become one.

Whether or not an employer will choose to employ a convicted felon cannot be answered.

If you attempt to work for any type of government agency, or at any job for which you may need to be licensed by your state, or for a private company for which you may need a security clearance, it is almost certain that you will not quailfy.
