You can go to www.miles.com it is a website for active duty service members who are buying their first vehicle or have had not so good credit and trying to reestablish. There are certified dealerships that offer miles and they have restrictions, low miles and the vehicle is usually only a couple years old. Brand New. They can possibly get you approved up to or close to $20,000 all you do is pick out the vehicle, go through a 30 min phone counseling session and usually within a short period of time you will have an answer. This was set up for service members to protect them for higher apr car lots that may try to take advantage of you. If you have cash and a driver's license, most definitely. If you don't have cash, you will probably need to have very good credit to buy a new car and very decent credit to buy used. If you don't have credit, you might be able to con someone into co-signing the loan for you or borrowing the money from a friend or relative. My advice is if you are just starting out, buy something used for 600 bucks or so to get you back and forth to work until you can either save up for something more trendy or give yourself time to establish credit. A ten or fifteen year-old Honda or Toyota will still have a lot of good miles left on it and can be had for the equivalent of two car payments on that 5.0 mustang you would really like to have.
