Yes you can. The cost is totally up to you, although I would guess that you are looking at at least $1000.00. First you need to locate a transmission, from a source you trust. It can be a junkyard, a rebuilder, a dealer or a friend. Next you need a swing pedal set, (Brake & clutch pedal on a single mount), & a shifter console out of a Standard Tranny car. These are available at junkyards, or on the internet. You will also need a clutch slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder w/ Plumbing. I would buy these from a parts store. You will also need a clutch assembly & a flywheel, also from a parts source. Then you will have to find out what bell housing was used with the standard & what transmission mount, crossmember & driveshaft. They are very likely different from yours, & you will have to locate them. Again internet or junkyard. If you do your research, take your time, make certain you have all the correct parts, the change over is fairly easy for any intermediate level mechanic. But, research for parts, both which ones & sources will actually determine the cost.
You are going to have to get a new car
The automatic transmission fluid in a 2004 Ford Mustang should be changed every 30,000 miles or once a year. The manufacturer has made this recommendation available in the owner's manual as well.
It costs more than it's worth, since 2006 Mustangs still have good trade-in value and manual-transmission Mustangs are easy to unload.
You can change a manual transmission to an automatic. It can cost upwards of 3,000 dollars to do this for a Volkswagen Polo.
Yes, it can be done. However, it requires a great deal of work, and will be fairly expensive if you cannot do the work yourself, and do not have a manual parts car.
You can fit a manual transmission into an automatic Ford Mustang as long as you have the same engine but you will have to change a lot of things. Depending on the year, you would have to change things like the computer, wiring , steering column to add the clutch, etc. It would be better to buy one that's a 5 speed already.
