Yes you can convert to auto. It is almost always easier to swap from manual to auto then the otherway around. That being said however even if you do all the work yourself it might be cheaper to find another truck that old with an automatic.
An autimatic transmission will have a 4 speed transmission and a manual transmission will have a 5 speed transmission.
where is the speed sensor for the transmission located in 2001 chevy venture
A manual 5-speed transmission from a 1995 Chevy 4x4 will not fit in a 1991 Chevy manual 5-speed transmission. The two engines vary in some specifications which makes them incompatible.Ê
Sure you can. It is much easier to turn a manual to an automatic than it is to change an automatic into a manual. the easiest way would be to pick up a hurst shifter. You can get one at just about any performance store. It would bolt on right where the shifter is right now. you would also need an automatic transmission, those trucks came with a 700R4 if I'm not mistaken. If you need anymore info, just ask.
No. The one engine will interfere with the other. Both cannot occupy the same space.
The 1992 Chevy K 1500 speed sensor is located on the back of the transmission. The speed sensor will be in the upper right-hand corner of the transmission.
Its in the transmission
If you mean, do they make the Chevy Colorado with a manual transmission, the answer is yes; the standard transmission in a base Colorado is a 5-speed manual.
its on the tailshaft of the transmission
No, 10 speed does not convert over. You would need to get a truck with either a 13 speed, or a 9C transmission (which is convertible).
It should have a 6 speed Transmission.
