Yes drink can kill you but not like other drugs, only in large amounts. You would be more likely to pass out before you can reach a lethal level but spirits could if taken in large amounts and within a short time period (drink can have a lasting effect on health and should not be taken lightly).
Yes, it's called alcohol poisoning...very dangerous.
When you overdose on alchohol, your body begins to shut down to try to extract out all of the toxins in the alchohol. Alcohol is a poison to our body. This first starts by vomiting, then the next stage is alchohol poisoning. During this stage, you are likely to black out and often begin to have convulsions. This is a dangerous time because even thought you are blacked out, it is possible for the body to still vomit and foam at the mouth. This is when it is possible to drown/choke on your own vomit unless you have someone carefully watching you.
In short, yes you can die from overdosing on alchohol but only if you drown in your own vomit. Also, if you drink an absurd amount of alchohol everyday for years, your liver cells begin to decay and this leads to liver cancer and sometimes prostate cancer in men.
Remember, the safest way to avoid death from alchohol poisioning and vomit drowning is to take the victim to the hospital ASAP.
Whilst all of the above is relatively true (some people just do not vomit, no matter how drunk they are). My sister drank a bottle of vodka last year, she didn't die this way. The alcohol affects the section of the brain that controls the automatic functions our bodies perform sub-conciously. In this case, she just stopped breathing. I have read about people saying that the person under their care just stops breathing - the only thing you can do is hope you get there in time and can either breathe for them or call an ambulance. If your body doesnt want to breathe, it wont.
Yes, you can. Most US states have set a BAC of around .06 as being impaired and .08 as being legally drunk. A BAC of over .30 is considered possibly fatal and over .40 expected to cause unconsciousness and death.
Looks like you have, if you're drinking "Achohol."^
of course
Actually it helps avoiding getting drunk.
He will get drunk and die
By getting drunk in the club, but not so much that you are actually drunk.
By not drinking, that is a good and safe way of not getting drunk.
Neither is good.
too many!!!!
Being drunk has nothing to do with getting HIV. You get HIV if you have sex with someone who has HIV, whether you're sober or drunk.
About 41 people die each day from drunk driving.
getting people drunk !
You will probably die.
Always fewer than the amount who die "drunk walking".
the baby can be born with fetal alcohol syndrome
