If you catch a mouse in your house can you then feed it to your pet snake?

Of course you can feed it to your pet snake. it would be happy to get live food once in a while.
Unless its a pet mouse of a family member or something. you can still feed it to your pet snake, but I'd bet that family member wouldn't like that.

∙ 12y agoThat depends on what you want to do with the mice. White [albino] mice are usually feeder mice. Fancy mice are bred mostly for pets. Hope that helps.

I don't get your question but if you mean if you buy a mouse and feed it to a snake how long will it live then the answer is a couple minutes because the snake will soon sneak up on it and swallow it whole.

Can a mice eat a snake?
It's possible for mice to injure snacks, and that might include nibbling away at them. There's been many cases of irresponsible keepers giving a small snake too large of a mouse and the mouse injuring the snake as a result. That's why dead rodents are much safer to feed to snakes. If the snake is finicky and refuses to eat pre-dead food (which does happen) then they should be supervised during feedings and small prey should be given. When using live feed, many snake keepers prefer to knock the feed animal unconscious before putting it into the enclosure.
How long does in take to warm up a mouse?
Depends on from what temperature, to what temperature, the size of the mouse and for what purpose you're warming it. If you are intending to feed it to a snake (or other reptile) from frozen, a pinky mouse should sit at room temp for a couple of hours or in a cup of slightly warm water for about half an hour. A full size mouse will take several hours at room temp and an hour or two in slightly warm water. I would recommend placing it in a plastic zip type baggy before you do either (definitely before you put it in water). Check the temp with your finger (on the outside of the bag, so the mouse doesn't smell like you) it should be right at room temp when you feed your snake. Personally, I would always let them thaw either all day while I was at work, or overnight. Never microwave your mouse or use hot water, this will cook the mouse which will provide less nutrients to your snake, and possibly make it not taste good to the snake (causing the snake to not eat or regurgitate it). Also never feed your snake a cold mouse, since the snake is coldblooded it could make them sick.
