Yes, go to www.oldguns.net and scroll down the left sidebar. There is a serial number search engine which should answer your question. Send them a note thanking them - this is very useful!

AnswerYou can also call Remington 1-800-243-9700 and follow the phone prompts, this will allow you to talk with a live person who will access their data base for serial numbers to tell you the year your weapon was made. They may ask you for addition information such as the stamped letters on the left side of the barrel.

The barrel codes are the answer for dating a Remington, starting in 1921 all firearms were date stamped and the table code can be looked up on the Remington Society of America's website manufactured link. There are serial lists for ~1905-1930ish firearms those before that burned except what has been pulled from Military records and after that modern isn't tracked by serial no (outside Remington) because everyone uses the barrel code.
