Yes you can. I did. Mine is a 1990 Wrangler YJ; however, the engine bay in all wranglers is big enough for a small block, and with minor modifications, it will even take a big block. You will need to upgrade entire drive train to GM Parts. Mine has a 700R4 Transmission, and 4.11 rear end. You will also need a more beefy transfer case; front drive shaft and front differential. With this much power, you will need to stop it with disc brakes all around. My experience is that the stock Jeep tranny, transfer and diffs will work fine if you take it easy, and so long as your engine swap does not exceed 300hp or so. But, with a ZZ383 with 420HP, you need to upgrade everything in the drive train.
