The prejudice is the town accusing Jem and Scout of Atticus doings, along with assuming Tom is already guilty because he is black. Lack of human understanding is Dill’s situation of not being needed by his parents. Even though they give him everything he wants, he needs their love and attention. Scout has a hard time understanding this as well.
