Yes, you sure can. Especially if you are there for another reason like a physical. You may be able to ask your doctor to prescribe a topical cream or even an antibiotic... however, there are home remedies to try first if you can't get into see your doctor right away. Every doctor is different, hopefully he/she won't have to refer you to a dermatologist and can give you some help right away...it depends on the relationship you have with your doctor and their protocols at the office.
