You may be able to ask your doctor to prescribe a topical cream or even an antibiotic... however, there are home remedies to try first if you can't get into see your doctor right away. Every doctor is different, hopefully he/she won't have to refer you to a dermatologist and can give you some help right away...it depends on the relationship you have with your doctor and their protocols at the office.

The best thing to do is go to your doctor, they will prescribe you with creams and sometimes tablets that will get rid of the acne in up to 2 weeks. However the acne will become less visible within days of using the prescribed medication.
