you need to get the eka code and when you get it if it is "2468" for example change it by adding 1 to the second number and the fourth, so this one would now read "2569". hope this helps
you should have a 4 digit code that came with the car to remove this if your remote fob ain't working, if u not got code your local rover mg dealer will sell u one around £10 if UK spec car if not then u will need car alarm and immobilizer reprogrammed. this cost me £118 to get done because my car was registered in Ireland.
Hi You will need to contact a rover dealer who will supply you with an eku code to over ride the immobiliser....my sons costs £15
Call your local Land Rover dealership...they will give you a code.
On my 1997 Discovery trying to unlock any door other than the driver's door sets off the security alarm, so I would not count on unlocking all doors from the rear door.
the code for my stereo in my rover 414i is 0362 hope this helps
Not enough information.
Get in touch with a Rover dealer, tell them the problem, they can find out the code for your lock on the door. That way you will not need your fob to open the doors or immobilise it.
You Can not Remove it at at all coz its plugged with the computer system in the Range Rover, OR you can chand and make the computer deny the system by using the SOFTWARE
clutch & pressure plate were replaced remote was changed engine turns good but car wont fire, power reaches coil but does not reach plug leads coil was replaced new same issue car wont start, remote seem to be working good! unlock with key engine does not turn use remote engine turns good! can you help please?
i have the security code number but it has a zero as well as a number eight in it
you can't. simple as that. but if i'm taking you up right and you are genuinely having problems with the immobiliser then i'd reccommend you use a second and last higher digit to sort the problem out for good. just say your code is 3545 don't enter it, but instead enter 3646 and you should here a click from the drivers side engine. thats it. it worked for me and i never had a problem since. by the way if you don't know the original keycode then you won't be able to up the second and last digit accordingly so will not work. hope this helps.
The code is kept on file with MG Rover and an MG Rover dealer should be able to access it on the 'DISCUS' computer. They may charge you for this and ask for proof of ownership. There are also websites that will provide you with the code if you give them the serial number from the side of the unit. Have you checked all the handbooks? You are looking for a 4 digit code...
