no sorry to say they want the bolt pattern is to small but a Toyota, jeep, ford ranger and some oldsmobiles will if you use Toyota or ford ranger rims you have to but a spacer or five washers on b4 you put on the rim to keep it off the calapers i have a 96 ford probe and i have some kind of ford rims on it and i had to but washers on and then the rims to keep it from rubbing
If they have the same engine transmission combination possibly. Remove both starters and compare them side by side. Look at the gears and how much distance from the mounting surface to the end of the starter drive. Also check the bolt pattern. If everything matches up you may be able to use it.
Ford Probe was created in 1989.
While it depends on the engine size, generally a 2001 and 2000 ford ranger will have interchangeable parts as far as interior, transmission and attachable engine parts. The features and special package parts will vary between models of the same year as well as different years so those "in general" won't be interchangeable.
