Yes and no sometimes you know the answer, but sometimes you don't know the answer.
NEW ANSWER: No you can not. It won't even bolt up to the engine block. In late month of 1999 CHEVY redesigned the engine and transmissions and NOTHING below 99 will bolt up to anything above 99. You will need 1 from the year of late 99 to 2007.
You can if you get the 4L80E computer and wiring harness and install it in the vehicle that you are taking the 4L60E out of.
NO. The transmission wiring harness on the 1500 will NOT hook up to the 4L80E transmission and the COMPUTER / ECM will not operate the 4L80E. The 1500 MUST have the 4L60E put in it.
4l80e
NO it don't.
That would be the 4L80E transmission.
It should be a 4L80E.
That would be the 4L80E transmission.
YES they are the same transmissions as long as the 94 had the 4L80E in it too. 1/2 tons used the 4L60E in them and the 3/4 tons used the 4L80E
That would be the 4L80E / 4L85E
These are the years that will interchange with yours. 1992 to 1995 Then it jumps to 1997 to 1999. 1996 will not work. If your truck is a 1/2 ton then it must have the 4L60E transmission put in it. If it is a 3/4 ton then it must have the 4L80E put in it. Good luck.
That would be a 4L80E transmission.
It has the 4L80E transmission in it. And the only one that you can put in it is a 1996 4L80E, no other year will bolt up.
