yes, the body lift I've personally never done, however my friends have and managed to not kill themselves or the Jeep. The sus. lift is easy, make sure after the install, you go back and check the U bolts to make sure they are tight, we've had them work themselves loose frequently. Also, when putting the new springs in, make sure.. absolutely sure the centerpins are in the correct place and that the spring is very secure to the mounting plate. We've had them break off and the springs shift before... easy though, not too much worry about the angle of the driveshafts with a 3.5, so no need to do anything there, except maybe haveing to get a longer rear driveshaft.. telescoping or CV. Lataaaaaaaaa and good luck... GO BIG OR GO HOME!! FULL TILT

yes you can if you go on quadratec.com and look up a 3 inch body lift it tells you that you can do it. From my personal knowledge a body lift is obviously just the body and does not mess with suspension at all.
Not without modification, the body changes from the YJ to the TJ models.
I have 35x12.50x15s on mine but that's also with a 4 1/2 inch suspension 2 inch body lift and 456 gears front and back
No, that's all the bigger you will want to go with out at least putting some body spacers or a suspension lift on it.
Not without suspension and body modifications. 20's will fit without altering anything.
No.
one lifts the suspension and one lifts the body
A body lift does just that, lifts the body and gives more tire clearance( stock suspension). A suspension lift gives more clearance but also give more suspension travel for off roading.
There are 2 awesome examples of suspension in the human body. The knees and the spine. The spine will contract slightly and act as suspension when jumping and walking. The knees acts as suspension as well.
No, there was a body style change in 1997.
No, Jeeps changed from the YJ body style to the TJ body in 97, the tops are not interchangeable.
