One goldfish needs 20 gallons of space, and then it's an additional 10 gallons each per goldfish after (at minimum), so two goldfish need 30 gallons of space.
A one gallon tank is not very good for much of anything, but if you would like to keep a Betta fish, you could look at getting a 2.5 or even a 5 gallon tank.
Yes you could, but you would need a small heater as guppies are tropical fish. These heaters can be bought from your local pet store, but you can only find them in about 5 to 10 gallon heaters usually. This should be fine for a guppy though. Guppies are small about (2 inches) but you should only get one. If you choose to get two though(which should be fine too) they need to be both male or both female(the males are usually more colorful). A great fish that does not require a heater is a Betta. (only get one as they are aggressive and will shred other fishes fins. There are exceptions, as all fish have different personalities much like you and I) The female is smaller with short fins and is less colorful than the male which has long fins. Do not listen to the fact about putting 1 inch of fish per gallon because some fish are schooling fish and like to be closer together, some are territorial and need their space and some just don't care. I don't think guppies care much.
Provided the tank is large enough to house them all (1 inch of fish needs a minimum of 1 gallon of water) Guppies and Bettas should get along OK.
Yes, but you can only have one in there, and it must be filtered and heated.
Well, 4 guppies would be fine in a 2 gallon bowl, but they breed a lot, so you'll have to put them in a 10 gallon tank once there is fry [put the fry in the 10 gallon tank, not the parents!]. But if your just keeping 4 females, or 4 males, they can live in the bowl just fine. I would not put them in a 1 gallon, or 0.5 gallon bowl, though. It's not big enough [not as big as a 2 gallon bowl is]. You can feed guppies betta pellets, betta flakes, or even a broken goldfish flake, if your guessing what to feed them. If you just had goldfish, or betta fish that just passed away, use their fish food to feed your guppies. It won't hurt them, because guppies can and will eat just about anything you float on their water. Hope this helps.
No, red tailed sharks get too large to survive in a 1 gallon fish tank. Only very smally fish such as endlers or guppies, or a betta, would be ok in a 1 gallon aquarium.
Guppies are usually 1 inch long, and a good rule of thumb is to have 1 inch of fish per gallon, so as many as 30 guppies will be just fine. Although, it might be nice to add some different fish occasionally.
the rule of keeping fish in a tank is 1 gallon per inch of full grown fish, so 3 guppies will be good but just to keep them safe hav an air pump or just keep 2 of them
A simple air driven corner filter should do the job in a tiny 5 gallon tank provided the tank contains no more than 3 guppies. The first basic rule is :- 1 inch of fish needs a minimum of 1 gallon of water. Your tank is nominally a 5 gallon tank which means when it is only filled to within an inch of the top and has gravel on the bottom, the most it will be holding will be around 3.5 to 4 gallons of water.
1 gallon per fish for guppies in a regular tank, so just buy a breeding box at Petsmart or something and put the pregnant fish in when you think she's about to give birth and take her out immediatly when she's given birth. Note: guppies give live birth and do not lay eggs.
normal rule for fish in a tank is: For every 1 inch of fish there is 1 gallon of water
Guppies need a 40 gallon tank. Maybe 3 at the most if you only put in plants and maybe one rock. answer 2 by LipRingz:they don't need a 40 gallon tank i had 5 guppy's in a 2.5 tank in a 10 gallon you can have prob 8-9 guppy's
