I don't believe so. Some dodge vehicles (98 Caravan and 2001 and up) that have digital odometer displays will give codes if you hold the odometer reset button while turning the ignition to run. With 1999 Jeep and up Grand Cherokee, you can pull codes by switching the key on and off 3 times, but not quickly (as with earlier models). You turn it to on so the odometer turns on, turn it off, and then back on, wait for the light to turn on, etc. On the fourth time you'll get a code, or you'll get the word "done."

It would be easier and less complicated to just have the computer scanned at a dealership.

Sorry, only a scanner can retrieve trouble codes on OBDII vehicles.....

Can you use a jumperwire to retrieve trouble codes for 1998 dodge neon?

No. Not like pre-1996/Use an OBDII scanner

How do you retrieve the codes to a 1999 Dodge Intrepid?

Scanner,is the only means to re-set trouble codes quickly, although after 30 engine starts the Controller will automaticly "erase"the code(s) if it doesn't see a problem with that circuit anymore...

Can I retrieve ABS codes manually without a scan tool on my 2000 Dodge neon?

No.

How do you fix tachometer on dodge ram 2006 1500?

That depends on what part of the system is malfunctioning. You will probably need to start by using a scanner to check the cluster for trouble codes. That depends on what part of the system is malfunctioning. If you turn the igition on-off on-off on-off in less than 5 secs, the check engine light will flash the codes.

How do you retrieve trouble codes for a 2002 Dodge Dakota?

1. put the key in theignition. 2.turn it to the on position where all the lights come on. 3.then turn it 3 time off and on and what. that should do it.

scanner

How do you make a 1996 dodge caravan display the trouble codes on the digital dash display ie the mileage display without using an external obd scanner?

You can't. You need a scanner. Turn the key off then on again five times. The "check engine" light will flash the codes. You have to pay attention to the flashes. One flash means 1, two flashes means two, etc., etc. The codes can be found online.

You need a scan tool.

How do turn off engine light on 2002 dodge caravan?

Bring it to a shop or an auto parts store where they can hook up an OBD II scanner and read the trouble codes. Turn the light off by either fixing the problems the codes tell you, or have the person reading the codes turn off the indicator light using the scanner.
