I figure you can, but you need to talk to a lawyer. The law states that people under the age of majority are not legally allowed to enter into contracts. You might just get lucky on this

Can I transfer my Maine plates to another vehicle purchased in Massachusetts?

The transfer of license plates cannot be done without the vehicle being registered in the state that is on the license plate. If a car is purchased in Massachusetts, and the car is to be driven in Maine, it must first be registered in Maine with the Department of Motor Vehicles. It is possible that a new plate will be issued.

What can be done about being overcharged 1000 for a used vehicle from a dealer in PA This vehicle was having several problems unfixed by dealer by his mechanic.?

You can speak with an attorney regarding possibly suing a used car dealer in PA. If you were overcharged and the vehicle is having issues, you might be out of luck if you purchased it 'as is.'

If an elder purchased a new vehicle and doesn't want it before the next payment is due what can you do?

There is no cooling off period on the purchase of a vehicle. Being an elder does not help, unless you are not of sound mind. You bought the car, so you are stuck with the car.

Can you return a vehicle if you paid for it in cash?

The "cooling off" law does not apply to vehicles regardless of how they are purchased. All US states have lemon laws which protect the consumer to some extent from being "taken", although these laws usually are not applicable to private sellers and buyers. If the vehicle is mechanically unsafe or if it was knowingly sold under false pretext, the buyer might have some recourse. Check the lemon laws of the state in which the vehicle was bought and/or contact the state's office of Attorney General (consumer protection) for information.

In Tennessee is it better to get the car back or let the dealership have it?

The dealership is not involved unless the vehicle is leased. If the dealership has repossessed a leased vehicle, it is gone; you will not get it back. If the vehicle was being purchased by loan and the lender has repossessed it, you may get it back, but you have to balance what you would owe against what you do owe. To recover a repossessed vehicle, you may have to pay the following fees: * Past due balance * Any late fees associated with the delinquency * Repossession fees * Storage fees * Legal fees * Court costs * Recovery fees (the cost associated with processing the paperwork to return the vehicle to you). However, if you do not retake possession of the vehicle, you will still be responsible for most of these additional costs, and you will have nothing to show for it.

Can a lien on car you perchused full in cash but dealer has a lien on the car still be reposessed?

If you purchased the car in full with cash then there shouldn't be a lien. Look at your paperwork to make sure it says "Paid In Full" if it does the dealer has no right to repossess a paid in full vehicle. A lien is where you are making payments for a vehicle and the vehicle is being used a collateral until the vehicle is paid off.

How much does being a dependent affect you on your tax return?

Being a dependent of someone else for tax purposes decreases the amount of money you will get from the government. This mean you are not supplying the majority of your living expenses, someone else is and they should be able to use you as a dependent on their taxes.

What can you do if a car you purchased turned out to be listed as a stolen vehicle at the time of the sale?

Did you get a TITLE to the "stolen" car? If not, the you sorta assumed the risks. Was it actually stolen at the time of sale or just not removed from the list after being recovered?

Can a tow truck driver hit the car he is repossessing and cause damage?

Yes, he can cause damage, but then he has to pay for it. In the majority of cases if the vehicle property is damaged the lender is responsible. not the repo agent. Repossessing agents in the majority of states are required to have a "hold harmless" agreement signed by the lender/lien holder. This releases the repo. agent from being responsible for any damages incurred to the vehicle or other property.
