For a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4.7L, the automatic transmission fluid capacity depends on a couple factors -- whether it's 2WD (RWD) or 4WD -- and also what specific transmission the vehicle was equipped with. For the 42RE transmission: 4.0 quarts For the 45RFE or 5-45RFE 2WD (RWD) models: 5.5 quarts For the 45RFE or 5-45RFE 4WD models: 6.6 quarts The recommended fluid type is MOPAR ATF+4

2wd = 3-4k pounds safely 4wd = 4-8k pounds safely
you can if you change or swap the output shaft and remove the tail housing. the inspection cover is also different on the 2wd vs the 4wd and will not give the added strength when bolted on like the 4wd does.
You need to take apart the trans and swap out the output shafts. and possibly the bell housings
no 2wd jeeps have the same exact suspension set up as a 4wd the difference is the front axle is just a tube and doesnt have a diff on it. i would suggest a locker for your rear axle because your gonna need at the traction you can get
