Legally speaking, could be very bad. (It's illegal...)
Generally/practically speaking, this is like asking if it is bad to take any drug if it is not prescribed to you.
In other words, it is good to get an official diagnosis. Despite the bad wrap they get, most Psy-docs (neurologists included) know what they're doing. In most cases, I have had the best results with drugs that were prescribed by my neurologist as opposed to those I thought would work for me but didn't work as well (Provigil, for example).
Adderall and the other ADD/HD drugs might not really help those who don't have issues concentrating? For example, my mom's reaction to a stimulant was completely opposite to my own (drove her "up the wall," yet calmed me down).
Hope this helps...
NO, You should not take this medication without being prescribed! Why don't you go see a Doctor that can help you figure out your needs!!!! Other wise You are talking about getting it unlawfully! Being on this medication should be under a Doctors care It is a controlled substance Hell Canada took it off their market and said so should we Now some believe the benefits out weigh the risks that are associated with Adderall........ Its illegal to posses without a script so it would be the same to take it without a script! HONESTLY, I Hope the best for you.
According to government medical tests, the maximum recommended dosage for ADDerall for an average sized adult of either sex is not to exceed 60mg a day. In reality, there are many patients who currently take well above the daily limit, extreme cases reaching 250 mg per day.
I do not recommend anyone without diagnosed ADD or ADHD to take ADDerall, but since there are still those out there dumb enough to use it, I will answer the question.
As a new user, one should not consume more than HALF the recommended dosage per day, meaning 30mg. DO NOT SNORT IT, as some claim you should do. Also, as a general warning, XR ADDerall tablets are meant to be extended release, so DO NOT take a huge amount thinking it's not working.
In conclusion, 30 mg is a safe max for the average non-prescribed. If you feel you need ADDerall to function and it helps you focus, than I beg for you to go to the doctor and say so. That's what they're there for! But if you're just a college kid looking for an all nighter drug to get your work done, do yourself a favor and quit while you're ahead. ADDerall may not be a dangerous drug, but it introduces the possibility of using drugs to get ahead in your mind, which can only lead to tragedy. There are a thousand other, healthier techniques to gain advantage over your schoolwork.
Absolutely, Now I know most people would strongly disagree with me, but they've most likely never tried adderall or any of his cohorts; such as Vyvanse, Focalin, or Ritalin. I'm in college so abuse of Adderall and the others are huge! Especially during Finals time, when every drugstore within 30 miles of Campus are sold out!! As you probably know Adderall in those without ADD/ADHD are super study pills or for partying the night away with endless energy, stamina and focus. When you take it you will find yourself able to do anything that your mind might normally not want to do. For procrastinators like myself Adderall is a life saver and I can guarentee from those I know Adderall was huge in supplying them with strong ability to study countless hours on end and the reason most of them got to Graduate college. I once took 40mg and 20 later and sat in one spot for 14 hours writing a 23 page paper that was due the next day! As long as you are responsible with it you shouldn't have any problems. Start out on around 20mg's and work your way up only once your tolerance has built up, but you don't want this to happen so take in plenty of magnesium citrate(not oxide) and calcium which support the nervous system in your daily diet with some alkaline foods just before taking. Also AVOID acidic properties such as Vitamin C, which if taken in too high of a quantity can completely hinder adderalls' absorption and even deteriorate the stimulant. Good Luck!
No, not unless these medicines have been prescribed for you by a qualified medical practitioner (a Doctor).
yes you can, i am prescribed 15mg adderall xr and my obgyn prescribed me cipro 500mg. I asked my pharmacist to make sure i could take them together or if i should wait a little while after i took the adderall to take the cipro and he said that it is ok to take them together.
no
The "straight up" (legal) answer would be: Administer Adderall (mixed amphetamine salts or MAS) only to the person to whom it is prescribed, exactly as prescribed. Adderall is a "schedule II" drug, and as such, it is illegal for anyone to take or possess it if it is not prescribed to them unless that person is responsible for administering it to a minor prescribed the medication.
I take 40mg of adderall or 54mg of concerta everyday and use klonapin to put me to sleep every night. Been doing this for about a month with no issues.
If you were prescribed both than your doctor should've given you a certain dosage and told you when to take it. Dosages will vary depending on the patient's profile and the severity of the condition for which the drug is being prescribed.
Yes you can. Naproxen is an NSAID like Advil. I am prescribed it for menstrual cramps and I am also prescribed Adderall XR. I've taken them together before.
take risek 40mg before breakfast.
i have been prescribed allegra and adderall. i take both daily without any side effects or interactions.
No , as long as it was prescribed by a doctor. They may want to know the prescription number that is located on the bottle.
how long can i take simvastatin 40mg-i have be told that after two years the dose has to be reduce ,is this true or can i still take the dose i am taking-
Yes I take my adderall daily, and tizanidine at night to help me sleep, both prescribed.. Been taking it for many years and no problems. Although taking them together would probably cancel each other out I'm guessing..
