Yes, according to multiple TSBs (technical service bulletin) from GM: DEXRON-VI can be used in any proportion in past model vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission/transaxel in place of DEXRON-III (i.e. topping off the fluid int the event of a repair or fluid change.) DEXRON-VI is also compatible with any former version of DEXRON for use in automatic tranmissions/transaxels.
Yes... Dexron 6 is the latest trans fluid and can be used in any application that calls for Dexron III
No. If it calls for Dextron III, that's what you should use.
Yes, you can use those tires without any problems.
Dextron III or Dextron IV. It most Likely calls for the Dex III but with service bulletin updateds they have probably changed it to a Dex IV and I'd go with that it's a better fluid.
1996 metro calls for dextron 2, should tell you on your transmission dip stick
Chrysler calls it Sprinter/Crossfire transmission fluid. Do not use ATF+4 or dextron/mercon
I use what the vehicle manufacturer calls for.
There is a reason thay said use Dextron II. And that is what you should use.
Believe it or not, the factory manual calls for Automatic transmission fluid GM Dextron II for the 4 and 5 speed manual transmissions. Cheers Malcolm
