Only you swap the overdrive/tailshaft unit.
The transmission solenoids are inside the transmission, on the valve body.
Yes, i guess they did there is a transmission on craigslist right now for that truck. I am not sure if it is for wheel drive or rear wheel.
No.
What type of transmission fluid do I put into a 2001 ram 1500 four-wheel-drive drive automatic truck
You need a different front end, transmission, transfer case, wiring, etc. Buy a different truck.
Yes and no, you would need to have a two wheel drive rear drive shaft.
w is four wheel drive, d is two wheel drive
Either the engine or the transmission must come out. If it is a 2 wheel drive truck, pull the transmission. If it is a 4 wheel drive truck, pull the engine. (IMO)
A chain and a realy big truck!!!
Doubtful, as it must connect to the transfer case that is used in lots of FWD vehicles. NEW ANSWER: No it will not.. The center shaft that runs through the center of the transmission is shorter then a 4-wheel drive transmission because there is no transfur case on a 2-wheel drive transmission.
they are not adjustable they are sealed units
If the truck is a 4 wheel drive it would be easier to remove the engine to replace the flywheel. If the truck is a 2 wheel drive removing the transmission and bell housing is the way to go.
