yes, the parts are interchangeable
Edit by an 86 Prelude owner: note that an 89 prelude is the 3rd generation, and the 87 is a second generation, for body mouldings and panels they are not perfectly interchangeable, many of the parts from an 89 prelude will not fit an 87, Honda is notorious for changing little details that make things just incapable of fitting a seemingly similar car. the late 80's Accords and 84-88 Preludes will share many parts, but the 89-91 Prelude will not offer you a whole lot.
i wouldn't swap it, the 87 is carbureated and the prelude is fuel injected, just put the same engine in. the 87 accord engine has less hp .
PVC valve is clogged
Honda Civic 80-89, Integra 86-87, Accord79-83, Prelude 79-82, Honda wagovan 84-87
i have an 87 prelude si and mine will do 0-60 in about 4.5-5 seconds with a cold air intake.
87 is a 2nd generation and 88 is third generation prelude....they are completely different cars
change the little box on the back of the gauge cluster should be white
I know for sure that the 87 accord does and I think that all Honda cars have tis feature
?timing marks for 2.0 prelude 89
there is no shut off switch on a 87 prelude. If you are having fuel delivery problems check fuel pump relay, fuel pump and both fuel shutoff solenoid valves on carbs if prelude is carb and not fuel injected
It doesn't matter what fluids you need, if you don't know where they go honey.
The 2nd generation Honda Preludes (1982-87) had either the 1.8 liter motor (105 hp) or the 2.0 liter motor (110 hp).
It should be. No changes were made suspension-wise until the '88 model year.
