Probably not. It will likely be too short.
You can but you will have to change or alter the drive shaft also.
The center shaft that runs through the transmission and comes out of the rear of it will have to be removed because it is to short. Then you will have to BUY a center shaft that is for a 4-wheel drive transmission and install it in the 2-wheel drive 350 Turbo transmission so the transfur case will now slide up on the center shaft. You will also have to buy a rear tail shaft housing that is for a 4x4 350 transmission. But to do all of this you MUST disassemble the whole transmission. Now your spending more money. It may be cheaper to buy a 350 4x4 transmission ready to go CHEAPER. You do the math.
well i see why not... the only thing you got to change is it the clutch since its different teeth... and if you are putting the turbo transmission in the N/A car and its a 2+2 (four seater) leave the drive shaft.. its slightly longer than the turbo drive shaft well that's it.. good luck buddy -Ivan
the 2wd turbo 350 has a longer tail shaft NEW ANSWER: The center shaft in a 4x4 transmission is longer then a 2 wheel drive trans. The reason is that it has a transfur case on the end of it, and the center shaft must fit into the transfur case to make it work.
Yes but you may have to shorten the drive shaft if it is a 350 turbo going to a non electronic 700r4
Yes the CASES are the same. The center shaft that's in the 4x4 transmissions are longer then the 2-wheel drive trannys. That is for the transfur case will slide onto the center shaft and work. But the cases are the same.
Yes but do to the 400 Turbo Trans being much longer you will need a shorter drive shaft
there are several different varieties of the turbo 350 trans. some were short shaft some were long shaft. your best bet is to actually measure it.
NO. All 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive transmissions are DIFFERENT. There is a center shaft that runs through the transmission and the 4-wheel drive transmission shaft is longer so the transfur case will slide up on it. The center shaft in the 2-wheel drives are shorter. NO NEED FOR A TRANSFUR CASE.
as long as the bell houseing and the tail stokes line up you should be ok drive safe
Yes it will , but you may have to do some drive shaft work.
About 6 inches
