You can find the type of glue you need at the upholstery shop. They will be able to advise you on how to make the repair you need. It will probably be a good idea to use both a foam glue, and some upholstery tape to hold it together.
Polystyrene can be used to make model aircraft (I'm assuming that's what you meant!) . Depron foam is better than white beaded foam because it is easier to sand and make smooth, also it is easier to repair if you crash the aircraft. If you can only get thin sheets of the stuff, simply glue them together.

"CA" means cyanoacrylate. You want "foam safe CA."
Spray contact adhesive will do it.
