The simple answer is:
No, a CCW is for concealment only. While you may not be prosecuted for inadvertently exposing the firearm, it could be grounds for you lose your permit to carry concealed.
The complicated answer is:
States all have diffrent laws pretaning to weapons. While a person may have a CCW, open carry is acceptable in some area. Some states do allow it, with or with out a permit. Others may allow it but complicate the issues by prosecuting people for inducing panic. Additional information: Some states, such as Tennessee, don't issue concealed handgun permits, but handgun carry permits. In Tennessee, it is legal, even though some people will tell you it's not, to carry a handgun openly if you have a permit, and the DA of the state has issued a memo stating that this is correct.
It depends on where you are. Each state in the U.S. has different laws. As an example: Tennessee issues a "Handgun Carry Permit." It covers only handguns. In Tennessee, there is no requirement for the gun to be concealed, so you can carry it either way. Some other states issue concealed permits requiring everything to be concealed. In some states allow open carry without a permit. See the related link for more information. It has information about handguns and other weapons.
Tenn allow concealed weapon permit
Only with CCW Permit. I myself live in Englewood, Currently you can not even carry a weapon in Denver County without a Permit even less conceal it. Sorry...
Answers to your question will be a matter of opinion. Many states do allow law abiding citizens to obtain a carry concealed permit. Statistics show that it is very rare that someone who is lawfully carrying a concealed weapon will committ a violent offense with the weapon. Carry/Conceal states do not have higher violent crime rates than non Carry/Conceal states. Some people just do not like anyone having a gun, but criminals will always get their hands on guns.
Not legally. You can carry a concealed weapon if you have a concealed weapons permit from Florida, or from any state that Florida recognizes.
It depends on where you are. In the U.S. each state sets its own rules. For instance, in Tennessee, there is no such thing as a weapons permit, it's a handgun carry permit, and applies to handguns only. Other than handguns, basically anyone can carry any legal weapon, but to carry a handgun, you must have the handgun permit. On the other hand, Florida issues a "concealed weapons permit" and it covers any legal weapon.
Very generally speaking, it allows a person to legally carry a concealed weapon on his or her person. In some U.S. states, the permit only covers handguns, and in some other states, it covers weapons besides just handguns.
I'm assuming you mean if you carry a weapon does it have to be concealed. It depends on where you are. For instance, the state of Tennessee does not issue a "concealed" permit, but a handgun carry permit and there is no specific requirement to conceal the gun by law. However, many states do require the weapon to be concealed. Check handgunlaw.us for more information.
It depends on the circumstances, but normally say, "I have a permit, and I have a legally concealed weapon" or something very close to that. At that point, the officer will usually tell you what to do at that point. Around here, officers usually say something like, "Ok, no problem." If the concealed weapon is a gun, don't use the term "gun."
Assuming you have a concealed weapons permit, or can otherwise legally possess a concealed weapon, yes, it's perfectly legal, at least in most states. I don't know right off hand of any states that prohibit that.
No. The NC DOJ has very explicitly stated that a NC concealed carry permit only allows you to carry one firearm, and does not cover any other types of weapons.
Probably, unless the provisions of your probation or the laws regarding CCW in your state forbid it.
Yes, if you have a concealed hand guns permit with you at all times. The ammunition can not be in the weapon or stored in the same place in the vehicle as the hand gun, however it may be in the clip or magazine of the weapon as long as they are not stored around eachother. So basically, you can have a concealed hand gun in your vehicle as long as you always have your permit for the weapon and it is not loaded.
