"Blowing" FusesFuses and Circuit Breakers are safety devices designed and installed in electrical circuits TO PROTECT the conductors [wires] from short circuits and overload conditions which can cause extreme overheating which can result in damage to the conductors, and worse, the possibility of a FIRE which could destroy the vehicle. When a fuse, and replacement fuses blow, especially if it happen repeatedly, is an indicator of an UNSAFE CONDITION in that circuit, usually a short. Do not install a larger fuse in a misguided attempt to correct the problem. To install a larger fuse would invite damage to the wiring and an electrical system fire. The proper "fix" is for a qualified technician, who knows what he/she's doing, to troubleshoot the circuit, find and identify the defect, and make proper repair [s], BEFORE replacing the fuse again [with the properly sized fuse].
fuses appear ok. Still no sound, radio, CD player, DVD player appear to be working
The in-dash AM/FM/CD player should have a fuse located in the panel under the dashobard on the left side of the steering wheel.
Check your fuses... Also check your wiring connections... Exc.
Check your fuses
I had the same problem and it was found that the built in radio/CD player was the problem, I had to replace the radio and cigarette lighter. All is well now, check out your radio as fuses kept blowing till i changed the radio.
In some cases you can remove a stuck CD from a Jeep Liberty CD player by resetting the player. On the front of the stereo there should be a small hole. Insert a pin or a paperclip into the hole and hit the reset button, then tap the eject button. Also check to make sure all fuses for the player are in working order.
Maybe an electrical problem, as far as that. Do you have an after market CD player hooked up.. may be hooked up wrong. Also if there are bare wires, you should cover the tips with black electrical tape.
Check your starter, my 87 b2000 was doing that. when i hit the brakes, turn signals, etc the CD player would cut off and back on. it was the starter!
The Disc is no longer recognized as media that can be played through your player, or you eject button is stuck on.
ensure all connections are correct and secure. especially check grounding.
change the light bulb
the owners manual should say where the fuse box is located. Take out the appropriete fuse and replace it if it is broken.
