Take the screw out of the back of the seat that goes into the rear fender and remove the seat. Then remove the clamps and cables. Pretty simple job and shouldn't take you long
Two screws one goes up next to your key and one goes inward just below it. remove them slide out the battery. Remove your POS + wire before you do anything. The screw going up replace first it will line up the screw hole going inward. ST
Disconnnect the ground first when taking the battery off. Then disconnect the positive. When you install the battery, do it in reverse. CONNECT the RED first then the GROUND.
It is actually FXDL. Motor Vehicle Departments shorten it to FDL for some reason. A FXDL is a Dyna Low Rider. I bought a 1994 FXDL today.

The next Harley that would be a good match for would be the Dyna Low Rider FXDL. It has a low frame and saddle. The Low Rider shares the same engine and transmission as the larger Harleys. I personally own a 2005 Low Rider. I am 6 foot tall but skinny, so I added the forward controls from a wide glide. ($399.00) I would look for a 2005 or newer. They have Fuel Injected motors. The best thing Harley did since the Electric Start. At a little over 600 pounds, this will not overwhelm you, but the gains in performance and style will surprise you. Don Don's Motorcycle Repair
