TYake it to a professional. If it needs charging then you have a leak that needs repair. You do not have the tools to repair this. Answer: If your vehicle uses R-134 coolant, get a charging kit ($80) and 3-4 cans of R-134. Get one with color added so you can see any leaks. Do it yoursself and save a ton of money. If you follow the easy directions, it's simple and you can use it on any vehicle that uses R-134. If you have an older vehicle you will have to take it in or find a backyard machanic that has all the good stuff. Good luck

The amount of oil charge required for an automotive AC system is specific to the car. There is not standard amount for all cars.
Buiy a kit at Wal-Mart or auto parts, comes with instructions
By buying an AC charge hose and a can or 2 of R134a freon (depending on how much your car needs) Attach hose to the low pressure side & charge system. Do not overcharge, or you may destroy the AC system.
Only charge the system from the low pressure side.you could blow the can of freon up in your hand otherwise.
port is next to the compressor under the car...
Low refrigerant charge
Compresser is out of freon. Needs a re charge. Or compressor blown
