With car level ,on a lift or on jack stands with transmission in park position and engine runnning, using a 3/16 Allen key or wrench remove the fluid indicator plug. (Note: fluid should be warm 80 deg.F-120deg. F.) If fluid comes out in a thin stream or drip fluid is at the correct level. If no fluid comes out remove the fill plug near the tail shaft housing. Fill with a squirt can or approiate pump with MERCON V automatic Transmission Fluid XT-5-QM or equivalent meeting Ford specification MERCON V. (ENGINES STILL RUNNING) fIll with fluid until it drips or runs in a light stream. Install Allen screw and tighten to 89 Inch lbs. Install fill plug and tighten to 15 ft. lbs.
