Removing headlight assembly on 2004 Mercedes c230?

2000-2006 mercedes-benz C class 4 door . Headlight removal. In order to remove or replace your headlight(s) you have to remove all the plastic clips on the bottom bumper ( holding plastic under engine cover ), then you steer the wheel to one side ( fully) you have to remove the plastic wheel cover piece to get to the corner of the fender and bumper. there is a clip approximately 5-7 inch long that clips on to the bumper and fender pull it out on one side, ones it unclips slide and it should come off ( bumper and fender is now seperated, now you have two bolts under the hood next to your headlights and grill now take those out. your bumper should be lose and ready to come off. depends what kind of front bumper you have you might have one or two more bolts holding the bumper thru the front bottom grill ( bolts are locared next to your foglights ). ones the bumper comes off. now you have complete access to the headlights. you have two bolts on top and one on the side holding the headlight in place. take the top two bolts off then the side bolt thru the wheel space ( this is a tight space but that bolt needs to come out in order to remove the headlight ). now disconnect the wiring harness attached to the headlight and pull the headlight out. Put everything back the same way you pull it off. this is all day work and it takes time and right tools to do this. good luck to you

How do you replace the headlights on a Honda Civic?

open the hood, remove the two bolts on the top of the headlight assembly, then remove the corner light and theres a bolt on the side of the headlight holding it in. after that you should be able to slide it out, but you might have to loosen or remove the front bumper. Edit by Smokeshank: I know that on a 92-95 civic that there is a bracket underneath the head light that will keep you from removing the unit. To remove the bracket, you must take the front bumper off which is very easy. To remove the front bumper, there is a Phillips screw on each corner where the bumper meets the fender by the corner light. Its hidded underneath the plastic wheel well liner. Theres two 10mm bolts underneath the bumper in the center holding it to the core support. There may or may not be a couple Phillips screws underneath the bumper towards the sides holding the lower portion of the wheel well liner to the bumper lip. There are 5 phillip head button screws in the middle top of the bumper (pop your hood) holding the bumper to the core support. Remove those and theres a black metal support bar, just set that aside. The bumper should come off now. The bracket that keeps you from removing the head light is basically a bracket that the bumper slids into near the head light to keep it aligned with everything. Remove it via two 10mm or 12mm bolts. Your head light should come out now. Just disconnect the light bulb wiring.

How do you remove a 1994 Honda Accord headlight and bumper?

if you look around the headlight, there are silver clips that hold the clear cover of the headlight piece, i think there are two on the top and two underneath between the bottom of the headlight and the front bumper. release the clips and the lens comes off, then giving you access to the screws holding up the bumper to get it off. it's easier to use needle nose pliers or something to grip the clips while unscrewing the screws holding up the bumper sides to both front fenders located at the top corners of the bumper on either side in the wheel well. As for the entire headlight assembly, there are screws from the back and outer sides of thepieces to unscrew. Don't forget to unscrew the bulb from the back of the headlights and remove the corner lamps(one screw on each side visible from overhead)by sliding them forward. Previous answer is wrong. The headlights on 1994-1997 Accords are sealed units, and do NOT come apart. To remove the front bumper and headlights: Use Phillips screwdriver to remove five screws from the grille, four on top, and one is hidden down lower, near the hood latch. Remove one screw each from the corner lights as described above. Gently pry them forward to unfasten the pegs from their holes in the fenders. Twist to unscrew the bulb sockets. Unfasten the black plastic rivets that attach the bumper cover to the rubber wheelhouses underneath, on both sides. At the upper rear corners of the bumper cover, remove one screw from each side that attaches the bumper cover to each fender. Using a Phillips screwdriver, reach in through the air intake grille in the bumper, at an angle, and remove one screw per side that holds in the turn signal lens and housings. Remove and unplug these. Using a long extension and a 12 MM socket, reach through the openings where the turn signals were, and loosen the bolts that hold the bumper structure to the radiator support frame. The bumper is slotted, gently lift it off of the top two bolts. The headlights are now removeable with a 10 MM socket, bolted through the top, each side, and lower front corner toward the center of the vehicle (not from the back as incorrectly stated above). The lower headlight bolts are NOT accessible with the bumper and cover still installed on the car. The plastic rivets that attach the cover to the bumper structure can now be easily accessed without ruining the headlights.

How do you replace the headlight assembly located on a 1996 Honda Accord EX?

Assuming you want to remove the headlight assembly, not just change the bulb: Use Philips screwdriver to remove screws for the turn signal housings in the bumper. These are located in the air intake vent in the center of the bumper cover. The screws go in at an angle, one on each side. From the center, gently pry the housings out. Twist the bulb sockets to disconnect. Use Philips screwdriver to remove screws from tabs in the top of the corner parking lights, gently pry forward to remove from fenders. Don't skip this step, or the bumper cover coming back can break these fragile parts very easily. Use a long extension and a 12mm socket through the turn signal openings, remove the bolts that hold the brackets to the front radiator support. Four bolts total, there are one on each side of both brackets. Note, do not remove either bolt from on top of the brackets. Remove the small bolts from each upper corner of the bumper cover, up in the wheel well opening. The bumper should now lift up and then pull forward, with the cover still attached. Remove 10mm bolts from the headlight housing. They are on top, and on each lower corner. These are NOT accessible with the bumper and cover still installed, on any 1994-1997 Accord.

How change headlight on Renault modus?

open the bonnet, remove push-clips and screws that hold top edge of bumper. Undo screws/bolts that hold bumper under car. Pull back wheel arch covers and undo 1 bolt from corner of bumpers for both sides. Give the bumper a tug on the corners (it should release now you have the 2 bolts out) lift/stretch top of bumper over head lamps, the bumper should now come off (unplug fog light wiring connector if you have them) now you can see the bolts to remove the head lamp..good luck!
