Actually, humans are very much like the dog - only dogs are better because when they open their mouths nothing mean comes out just a bark. If you were to study on this - I have - you would find that many of our "behavior interaction's" are that of a dog's. As a matter of fact, more than half of them are. EXAMPLE: A likes C, but C hangs out with B. This makes A dislike B, and immediately takes B as a threat. Thus, A "protects" C from B, rather A knows that C likes B or not. If you think about this, you will find that dogs are the same way with their owners as wolves are in a pack and we are with our friends. P.S. Even though your dog and/or puppy will still love you and protect you more than anyone, still socialize them because this willlessen the risk of having to pay to get your dog from not being put down because he or she bit someone.

In comparison Dogs age much faster than humans. For example, it is said that one year to a human lifespan is like seven to a dog lifespan. This means if a dog is 5 years old in real time it is 35 years old in dog years.

Dogs have a much keener sense of smell than we as humans do, and a much more resilient digestive system allowing them to eat things like spoiled meat and not get sick.

Dogs are also very different from humans in their almost inability to carry a grudge. They are very loyal creatures with the proper amount of training and care.

Similar to humans, dogs thrive on companionship and physical affection.

Many dogs are prone to the same health problems humans may have such as Heart disease, Arthritis, and kidney failure. Like humans, proper care is needed to ensure a comfortable longevity.

Dogs and humans are very different when viewed from a strictly physical standpoint but similar in the amount of care needed to provide a high quality comfortable life. This is probably why they mesh well together and dogs are often referred to as "man's best friend".
