The only way a citizen can select their leaders in a dictatorship or absolute monarchy is by using a gun or weapon to overthrow the existing leader.
Citizens have a role to maintain peace and live under the rules or laws of the land. They are also responsible for contributing in building their country in whatever capacity they can.
