I have the same issue on my 2000 626 they said the whole dash needed to be replaced and its 700 i was qouted.. But Autozone recommended some stick on dash light where you can hide the wire and plugs into the ciggarette lighter as a Mazda it comes on and goes off when started I got clear and it look great my friends like it too.. it was like 16bucks..
I had the same problem with my Jeep Wrangler. My tail lights were also not working. Turns out the same fuse controls both (at least in my vehicle) and when the tail lights go out, the dimmer goes out so you know there's a problem. Check your fuse.
u may have a defective multifunction switch
The fog light switch is beside the dimmer for the interior gauges, just above your hood release.
look for a break in the wiring. it might be grounded on something

There are numerous warning lights for a Mazda RX8. Some of the warning lights are for engine oil, charging system, ABS, and check engine.
If there is no brake lights on a 1998 Mazda pickup, check the fuse. If the fuse has blown, the lights will not work.
