The Life of the Aztecs was a life of war and hunting. They dedicated alot of their time to their gods. They lived regular city life. Tenochitlan Was their Capital. Tenochitlan was an island in the middle of two large lakes Xochimilco and Texcoco. The City was not huge but it is Present day Mexico City which is one of the Largest cities in the world.

Hernando Cortes became famous for being a Spanish conquistador and explorer who defeated the Aztec empire and claimed Mexico for Spain. He set sail for the New World at the age of 19, and joined an expedition to Cuba later in life.
They continuously find ancient artifacts buried below Mexico City, including pottery, ancient buildings made of stone and other cultural relics. Those artifacts are buried because when the Spanish conquistadors conquered the Aztecs, they razed the city of Tenochtitlan, building their homes and buildings above the ancient city's ruins.
