using number one plug as front drivers side my 6 cylinder firing order is 1, 6, 3, 5, 2, 4. My engine is out of a 69 Pontiac Sunbird but I believe it is the same as the Buick engine.
No, there is no information suggests that a 1996 Buick Century 231 will fit into a 1999 Chevy Lumina.

This would depend on what engine they have; El Camino could possibly have up to a stock 425hp 454ci (not necessarily from the factory). If it were a SS (Super Sport) and had the towing package, depending again on the year, it would have a posi-traction rear end. Also it would depend on the year of the GN. The last year (1987) they were made they were underrated at 276hp. Either a 231 cid V6 or a 307 cid V8
It should fit. You see, a 231 6 cylinder is a shortened 350 V8. GM engineers simply cut 2 cylinders off the 350's block to make the block for some of their 6 cylinders (the 225, the 231 and the 234). The 231's were used in Buicks, mostly. no way the Buick 231 has a completely different bell housing bolt pattern, but don't take my word for it, fust look at the top of the bell housing on the motor and trans, the Buick comes to a point in the middle and the Chevy is flat. although they are both gm products the buicks and chevys are not interchangable, sorry
