Aphrodite has a few instances of being cruel. For instance, in the story of how she met Anchises it is stated that she transformed herself from her godly appeareance to that of a beautiful woman to seduce Anchises to sleep with her. She then reveals herself to Anchises in her godly form making Anchises to acknowledge the wrath to be inflicted upon him for sleeping with her. While this is straight forward it shows that Aphrodite was willing to resort to trickery and deciet to get laid, without caring for the well-being of Anchises. Another excerpt detailing aphrodite's cruelty is the story of Cupid and Psyche. Cupid and Psyche is a longish story but to paraphrase it she beats the crap out've Psyche and makes her do impossible tasks out of jealousy for her beauty, and for sleeping with her son.
