yes

AnswerThe Nazi Germany did not just invaded they wanted to completely eliminate Jews and most of the slavs - to clean the space for the Germans. Millions of the Soviet Union civilians had been murdered or worked and starved to death. There is no family in the former Soviet Union who had not lost someone due to this invasion. Many families were completely wiped out. Also we must not forget what a heavy toll the Soviet Union contributed in the Allied Victory in Europe. AnswerHitler had made an agreement to not invade or attack each other with Stalin, the dictator of Russia. But after he had pretty much taken over the rest of Europe, he invaded! Thid did not go over too well! So Russia helped out the Allies to bring Hitler down! Answersimply, yes

It was one of the countries, who fought against Germany during the WW1 and WW2. As the result of the Revolution of 1917, Russia capitulated during the WW1. But in 1945 in course of the WW2, it defeated Germany and captured half part of it. This part became the GDR afterwards.
