Hope it helped! =)
Thomas Hobbes believed in a social contract theory where individuals gave up some of their rights to a governing authority in exchange for protection and security. He argued that an absolute sovereign, either a monarch or a strong centralized government, should rule to maintain order and prevent chaos in society.
Yes, corruption should be abolished as it undermines trust in institutions, weakens the rule of law, and hinders economic development. Efforts to combat corruption are essential to promote transparency, good governance, and accountability in both public and private sectors.
Governments based on rule by one person are called autocracies or monarchies. Rule by a few individuals is called an oligarchy, while rule by many people is called a democracy. These typologies reflect the distribution of power and decision-making authority within a political system.
According to the principle of popular sovereignty, the final ruling power is held by the people. This means that governments and leaders derive their authority and legitimacy from the consent of the governed, and the people have the ultimate right to determine their own governance through elections and participation in the political process.

Direct rule involves the colonial power governing the colony directly through its own officials and institutions, while indirect rule involves governing through local leaders and existing tribal structures. Direct rule is more centralized and involves greater control by the colonial power, while indirect rule allows for more local autonomy and collaboration with indigenous authorities.
Thomas Hobbes believed in the rule of a king because he thought that a strong central authority was necessary to prevent the chaos and conflict that could result from a state of nature, where individuals pursue their self-interest without regard for others. Hobbes believed that a powerful ruler could maintain order and security, thereby ensuring a peaceful and stable society.

Thomas Hobbes is considered the key figure advocating for the idea that people need to be ruled by a strong ruler due to their inability to rule themselves. His social contract theory, outlined in his work "Leviathan," posited that individuals willingly give up some freedoms in exchange for security and order provided by a powerful sovereign.
As far as I understand he didn't belong to a political party, and what party he would belong to would depend on what country you are in, but if he did have a political affiliation he would be on the far right with the people who believe that a single entity should rule over all.

Thomas Hobbes and Jean-Jacques Rousseau both argued that people are inherently self-interested and need a government to regulate their behavior in order to maintain social order. Hobbes believed that without government, life would be "nasty, brutish, and short," while Rousseau argued that government should represent the general will of the people to ensure social harmony.
Thomas Hobbes made a significant contribution to the Enlightenment by promoting the idea of a social contract and the need for a strong central government to maintain order and protect individual rights. His work influenced later thinkers like John Locke and Jean-Jacques Rousseau in developing political theories on the relationship between citizens and their government. Hobbes' emphasis on reason and logic in his writings also aligned with the Enlightenment's focus on rationalism and questioning traditional authority.
That people are inherently greedy and power-hungry. We should transfer our natural right to govern ourselves over to a Leviathan who will rule in the interest of civil peace.
