First Answer: According to Vladimir Putin and Sergei Lasrov of the KGB, on August 28th 1943 an Atomic Bomb was delivered to Lansing , Michigan as part of a treaty signed between Nazi Germany and the United States not to use Nuclear Weapons on each others cities. This is why President Roosevelt would not allow the Boeing B-29's to be based in England in World War II.

Second improved answer: The KGB (Putin & Lasrov) claim is completely false. The Germans never came close to building an atomic bomb. They abandoned the A-Bomb project because they thought it was not possible to build a bomb before the end of the war. Also the US & Germany did not have any arrangement to not use the A-Bomb against each other. The US intended to use the bomb against Germany if Germany had not been defeated already. Hitler would have used the A-Bomb against any & all of his enemies. If he had an A-Bomb in 1943 he would have hit Moscow first, not deliver it to the US. Also, no one in the German government knew about American efforts to build the bomb, hence no reason for a treaty. The first flight of a prototype JU-390 (modified JU-290) aircraft was not made until October 1943, and this aircraft was not able to reach the US with maximum fuel & weight of an A-Bomb. It is also unlikely that a US or German A-Bomb would actually fit inside the JU-390. In the end, no JU-390's were ever produced to meet the actual combat service requirements for that type of mission. Also the US B-29 bomber was earmarked for service in the Pacific where its extreme long range was needed. The B-29 was not needed in Europe because the B-17 & B-24 bombers were capable of reaching & bombing all of the 'Greater Reich'. Overall the Russian claim is a huge lie, of the sort you can expect from former KGB-types like Putin. Additionally, the actual history of the JU-390 has been marred by many false stories, all without any proof or credibility.

The KGB claim of an August 1943 delivery would have been difficult, since that aircraft flew its first test flight 20 October 1943. It also lacked the range to reach the US.

Why did Japan want to build the Junkers JU-390?

The Japanese were impressed with the Junkers JU-390. It could fly from the German Bases in Odessa to the Japanese held fields in China. Starting in late 1943 the Junkers JU-390 would deliver secret jet engines and other valuable weapons and on the return flight carry exotic metals, uranium, and even rubber. Also this is the way Japanese and German officers carried Top Secret information. In March 1945 a Junkers JU-390 flew to Tokyo by flying over the North Polar regions. This is verified by Albert Speer who wrote about this flight. Anna Kreisling was in Japan at the time and flew back to Germany on a different Junkers JU-390. Japan was working on a Nuclear bomb and the Junkers JU-390 was the bomber they wanted to use the Atomic Bomb on Los Angeles and Hawaii.

When was the atomic bomb built?

in 1943

When did the atomic bomb was built?

1943

When did the Junkers JU 390 first fly?

In December 1942 an agreement was reached that spelled out the need for a very long range aircraft that could be used as a Recon aircraft, a bomber, and also when the time came deliver a Nuclear Bomb to targets in America and be able to return to Germany. In January 1943 the first Junkers Ju-390 was ready to be tested. This was the Recon version, fully stripped, no guns, only 4 crew members, the entire fuselage contained eight huge fuel tanks. In the wings six fuel tanks. Total range was 18,000 kilometers. By August 1943, four Junkers JU-390 aircraft had been built. Yet the Junkers Factory first recorded the first flight as being in August 1943. This was done in accordance with Heinrich Himmler who was in charge of the Nazi Nuclear Bomb Program. This deception worked brilliantly! On August 27th 1943 a Junkers JU-390 long range Recon Aircraft left Norway on its mission to photograph industrial plants in Michigan and to fly over New York. This mission was vital to send a message to Roosevelt that to use an Atomic Bomb on Berlin would not be tolerated. Except that the above answer is based entirely on the claims of someone calling themselves Anna Kreisling who refuses to publicly verify they are who they say they are, present any credientials or proof of their identity and whose claims are unverifiable. The official first flight of the Ju-390 by Chief test Pilot Hans Joachim Pancherz was on 20 October 1943, therefore the above claim is can only be treated as a work of fiction until the Kreisling person comes forward in public.

What did President Roosevelt think of the Junkers JU-390?

President Roosevelt was afraid that the USA was behind Nazi Germany in the development of the Atomic Bomb. He knew that by 1942 Hitler was working on the bomb and Heinrich Himmler was put in charge of the Nazi Nuclear Bomb Program. On August 27th 1943 a Junkers JU-390 took off from Norway to photograph potential targets in the United States. It flew over Canada, Michigan and at Noon on August 28th 1943 it passed right over the Empire State building at an altitude of 4,500 feet. This Recon Flight made by Hans Joachim Pancherz and Anna Kreisling greatly troubled President Roosevelt. On January 18th 1944 the same two pilots flew a Junkers JU-390 at night within 12 miles of New York City. This was to test American Air Defenses and confirm that a Nuclear Stike on New York could be done.

Where did Neil Bohr's made a significant contribution to the rapidly growing atomic structure?

Was Casablanca the Movie that was shown in the Junkers JU 390 as it flew over New York in 1943?

Although such a mission was recorded in a British aircraft review during World War II, it was later suspected to be disinformation by captured German pilots. No version of the JU-390 had anything close to the range required, even entirely filled with fuel.

When did a Junkers JU-390 FLY OVER NEW YORK?

On August 28th, at Noon a Junkers JU-390 was sighted over the Empire State Building flying at an altitude of 6,000 feet. The two Luftwafe pilots were Hans Pancherz and Anna Kreisling. Al Simpson from the NEW YORK TIMES took more than 18 pictures of this large six-engined Recon bomber. This JU-390 Recon Aircraft was custom built for this mission in February 1943, it had eight huge fuel cells in the fuselage and only a four man crew. It carried no bombs or guns and it could fly 18,000 miles without refueling.

When were nuclear bombs invented?

The atomic bomb was invented in 1933 by Leo Szilard, but could not be built until 1945.The hydrogen bomb was invented in 1943 during discussions of possible atomic bomb designs (but it was not recorded who proposed the idea, although Edward Teller became its main proponent), but could not be built until 1952.

Did the New York times take pictures of the junkers ju-390?

On August 28th Thomas Wainsworth of the New York Times received a telephone call from Col. Scott Carson that a large German Luftwaffe Bomber was heading to New York. Thomas quickly gathered up his cameras and went to the top of the Empire State Building. Suddenly from the West flying alone at 8,000 feet was one of the biggest aircraft he had ever seen. He did not know it at the time but he was about to photograph a Junkers JU-390 Photo Recon Aircraft. As it flew over the Empire State Building Thomas took a total of 12 pictures of which he said six were magnificent. He then watched the aircraft do a quick 360 degree turn and headed out over the Atlantic Ocean where it was soon out of sight. Thomas Wainsworth did not realise it at the time but this flight by KG-200 on August 28th 1943 would prove to President Roosevelt that to base B-29's in England and use an Atomic Bomb on Berlin was out of the question. The pilot Hans Joachim Pancherz and Co-pilot Anna Kreisling had proven that a German plane could reach New York and if called upon drop an Atomic Bomb on New York. Within two hours the FBI and the OSS had confiscated the film and this flight was classified TOP SECRET. It would remain a secret for over 50 years depite the many substantial claims that it did happen. In 2013 Anna Kreisling is still alive and is involved in Secret Projects at AREA 51 where she keeps a Junkers JU-390!
