To quote the old Q code, Noise is QRN and interference is QRM. Noise is natural or accidental, caused by natural sources or accidentally by operating electrical machinery. Interference is man made, either deliberately to obstruct legitimate communications, or accidentally due to adjacent frequencies or locations being used.

The borderline is indistinct. Don't get me going about flak and fruit.

Noise is defined as unwanted sound. If there is nobody there, a tree falling in the forest makes no noise.

Sound is what we perceive with our ears in response to a variation in air pressure, occurring at a frequency to which they will respond.

Music (or vocals) are sounds that we find pleasing or to which we react. But some folk are stirred by the skirl of the pipes, and others are repelled.

Music is a group of sounds that have been deliberately produced to make a regular pattern, but noise is usually a group of sounds with no regular pattern.

What is the difference between SINR and CINR?

SINR - Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio CINR - Carrier to Interference and Noise Ratio difference between those to is difference between carrier and signal carrier is signal who doesn't "carry" any information . it must be modulated( by phase, freq or amplitude) and those changes convey information. carrier is unmodulated signal signal is defined as useful signal which carries information SINR is power of signal to power of interfenence and noise ratio

Difference between noise and interference in optical communication?

Interference and noise are distinguished the same way in all situations not just optical communication. Noise is caused by random thermal effects or statistical effects to to the randomized distribution of electron flow. Interference is due to a system being sensitive to external perturbation, due to weather, dust, vibration etc.

Are noise and interference major propagation problems for optical fiber propagation?

No. Fiber is immune to electrical interference; there is no cross-talk between signals in different cables and no pickup of environmental noise.

What is the difference between constructive and destructive interference?

Interference is constructive if the phase difference is zero degrees and destructive if the phase difference is 180 degrees.

What is the difference between Current and Interference?

Current measures flow of charge. Interference is something that gets in the way.

What is Data Interference?

Data is information while interference is a noise being introduced from other sources. Thus, data interference is an information with noise and that its integrity can not be ascertained.

What is the difference between noise of computer and noise of television?

a noise of a computer is lower than atelivision

Do magnets make noise?

They dont make noise only interference

Explain the difference between music and noise?

Music can be coined as structured, organized noise.

Why are the wires twisted on your pickup?

Twisting wires is done the prevent electromagnetic interference between the circuits(known as noise).

What happens when destuctive interference occurs between waves with different amplitudes?

Destructive interference lowers the amplitude, the lowest amplitude will be the difference between the two waves.

Is it possible to have interference between wave produced by 2 violins?

No, the phase difference between the nodes produced by two violins is not constant and so the interference is not possible.
